On the next two Sundays, March 10th and 17th, envelopes will be available in our pews and at the back of our church for anyone who would like to donate by cash or check to the migrant relief efforts of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Sahuarita, Arizona. An important part of their ministry is helping refugees on both sides of our Southern border, something about which many people in our congregation are deeply concerned.
Checks may be made out to The Congregational Church of Middlebury with “migrant relief” in the memo space. These gifts will be collected with our morning offerings and sent to The Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd also partners with other organizations, such Humane Borders (www.humaneborders.org) and The Samaritans (www.gvs-samaritans.org), to which donations can be made online.
Thank you for considering a gift to help our neighbors who are fleeing violence and poverty.
