On Saturday, March 5, the St. Lawrence University “Laurentian Singers” will kick off their Spring Concert Tour with a concert at our church.
Each year, when they are able, the choice comes to the home towns of its senior members to perform.
Carlie Wright, daughter of Jim and Louise Wright, is a senior this year and the choir is thrilled to be able to come to Middlebury to sing with her.
Carlie is a former youth group member and nursery worker at The Congregational Church of Middlebury (UCC).
The choir, now in its 70th year, will sing a variety of songs ranging from the sacred to Contemporary American to British folk songs and spirituals.
There is no charge to attend the concert, but a free will offering will be taken in support of the work of Charter House Coalition.
A reception will be held in Fellowship Hall after the concert to meet and greet the singers.
Proud parents Jim and Louise Wright will be happy to answer any questions (and brag!) about the group.
