Our church’s New Light service begins again on Sunday, September 16th at 4:00 p.m. in Unity Hall. Middlebury student cellist Wheeler Jarvis will play, and Pastor Andy will preach. We hope that you will join us for this inclusive, informal and inspiring time together. Services run weekly mid-September through early June.
Since the New Light was first held in mid-September 2017, many have been welcomed to Unity Hall (30 North Pleasant Street) to experience the strong sense of shared community during this afternoon service on Sundays. This service is rich in a wide variety of music from week to week, and is bold in spiritual community.
This service is one that is rich in a wide variety of music from week to week, and bold in spiritual community. This fall a new music group called “Sing for Social Justice” is forming at our church. They will sing at the New Light service on the first Sunday of each month. This group will sing and play a mix of brand new sacred social justice pieces, new popular music, and tried and true traditional social justice tunes as well. The “Do Justice” themed services will start in October.
There is a place for you, your children, your grandchildren at New Light, and we hope that you find it an informal, inclusive and inspiring place to be whether you are able to come once in a while, or regularly. Whether you visit in addition to attending Sunday morning services, or because your schedule only allows for afternoon worship on a given Sunday, you are welcome to experience God and Christian community with us at New Light.
