Every year the church school program is built around a theme, which is reinforced by our weekly “Big Meeting,” our Lenten service project, and our end-of-year Children and Youth Sunday service. (Recent themes have been Earth Stewardship, Peace, Faith, Hunger, Justice, Compassion, Friendship and Gratitude.

Church School Theme 2016-17

In our 2016-17 Church School (see calendar below), we will be focusing on the Fruit of the Spirit, as revealed to us in Galatians 5:22-23: “By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.”

There are nine “fruits,” and we will address one each month from September through May. The hope is that the children and youth will be able to recite all nine by the time we are finished studying them. Church School classes are offered during the service for children in grades Pre-K to 8th grade. We have 5 different classes available based on age.

Note: Church school does not meet on Communion Sundays, which are the first Sunday of each month.
