In May, James Davis will lead an adult study in which we will think about what it means to live with Christian faith in a modern scientific age.
To prompt our discussion, we will read the book Stars Beneath Us: Finding God in the Evolving Cosmos, by Paul Wallace (Fortress Press, 2015).
Wallace is an astrophysicist who also has a theology degree, and his book is a beautiful and accessible depiction of his own wrestling with the apparent disconnect between his Christian upbringing and his scientific expertise.
If you want to think through the synergies and tensions between faith and science, please get yourself a copy of the book and join us!
We’ll meet in Fellowship Hall at 7:30pm on Mondays May 8, 15, and 22.
If you are able, please read the introduction and chapters 1 & 2 (about 35 pages) for the first session.
And if you use Twitter, you can follow the author at @paulmwall.
